Your baby is here. And so much is happening at once.
The smallness of them. The way they curl into your chest. The particular kind of exhaustion that sits alongside the particular kind of joy. The older sibling hovering nearby, unsure what to make of this new person. The dog sniffing around with great curiosity. The cups of tea going cold.
This session was created for all of it: not a curated version of new parenthood, but the real thing. The wonder, the overwhelm, and the quiet moments in between.
When it takes place
The first few weeks are a natural sweet spot , but whenever your family is ready is the right time.
When your baby is still curled and small and the newness of everything is still raw, that's when these sessions tend to feel most natural. But birth doesn't always go the way we expect, and new parenthood even less so. If the first few weeks aren't possible, the session happens whenever you're ready, anytime within your baby's first year is absolutely fine.
There's no fixed date needed when you book. Once your baby arrives, simply reach out whenever you feel ready, and we'll arrange everything from there.
Where it takes place
Two locations, depending entirely on what feels right for your family.

At home
Your home is where your family's story is beginning. The corner where the crib is. The light in the morning. The sofa where you've spent most of the last week.
An at-home session captures your baby in the space that already holds meaning, and those details become part of the photographs.

The studio in Glasgow
117 Brook Street, Glasgow. A calm, private space with a curated wardrobe of clothing and wraps for baby and family. For families who want a neutral setting, or simply a reason to get out of the house for a few hours.
How the session works
Baby-led, unhurried, and entirely on your family's terms.

Your baby sets the pace
No rushing, no rigid schedule, no dramatic posing. We pause when feeds need to happen, we wait when your baby needs settling. The session moves in whatever order feels natural on the day.

Everyone is welcome
Your partner, older siblings for as long as they want to be involved, grandparents, and yes: pets too. Siblings are encouraged to talk about their new brother or sister. No forced smiling, no uncomfortable poses.

Just your family, as you are
The goal is to document what it actually feels like to be where you are: the wonder, the tiredness, the love, the dog, the cold cups of tea. All of it is worth holding on to.

Maternity + Newborn together
From pregnancy to arrival: the same photographer, the same warmth, the full journey.
Booking both together means I already know you before your baby arrives. Your preferences, how you like to be in a session, what matters to you. That familiarity doesn't just make things easier, it makes the photographs and your experience totally different.
When you book the Bump to Baby experience, you don't need to confirm an exact date for your newborn session yet. A rough estimate is enough. Birth doesn't always go the way we expect: you may need more time to recover, or simply not feel ready. The newborn session happens when you are ready, and not a moment before. That flexibility is always built in.
